What to carry

How should I put scissors away?

Clean and dry them first, then store them closed in their own slot or sleeve so the edges don't knock against other tools.

How often should I oil my scissors?

As often as your maker says. Some pivots need oil daily and some need none, so check the care sheet that came with your pair.
