Professional Scissor Stores in Australia: 19 to Compare
19 Australian stores for professional hair scissors: what each is good for, delivery, returns and trade access. Five are our related stores, and we say so.
By SalonScissors editorial team Updated
Where to buy professional hair scissors in Australia, and what each store is good for.
How we chose: Stores with professional scissor ranges and published delivery and returns, checked 15 October 2026. Five are our related stores; none paid to be listed, and we haven’t test-ordered.
More on how we chose
We read each store’s own delivery, returns and trade pages on 15 October 2026, and list stores alphabetically within each group.
Our related stores: SalonScissors, BarberScissors, JapanShears, Japan Scissors and Scissor Hub are run by the same seller, Nippon Shears Pty Ltd as trustee for The Adams Scissor Trust. They’re grouped at the end, so 19 storefronts doesn’t mean 19 independent sellers. Terms: SalonScissors, BarberScissors, JapanShears, Japan Scissors and Scissor Hub.

Is a store an authorised dealer?
Ask the maker. A brand name or logo on a store doesn’t tell you, and we don’t certify any store here. Yasaka’s purchase page, for example, points buyers to its dealers and invites contact if you don’t have one.
Common questions
Which store has the cheapest delivery?
ShearGenius and K5 International ship standard for free on every order, and Japan Scissors includes express. Most others go free above a spend, from A$49 at iCandy to over A$200 at SSS Hair.
Can I return scissors if I change my mind?
It depends on the store. Some refund within a set window, from 10 days at Exclusive Shears to 130 days at My Haircare & Beauty. iCandy only exchanges, and several suppliers give store credit instead. Most want the pair unused and in its packaging.
Do I need a trade account?
Only at Salon First, which is trade only and asks for your ABN. Beautopia keeps some brands behind a trade login, and glamaCo lets you sign up as trade or retail.
Which stores sharpen scissors?
Excellent Edges, Exclusive Shears and ShearGenius list sharpening, and Exclusive Shears will come to you in metro Melbourne. You can also ask us about sharpening.
