Fuji: The Brand and What to Check

Fuji is a Japanese scissor maker from Sakai, Osaka, whose logo reads Fuji MoreZ. We don't stock it, so here's what to check before buying elsewhere.

Fuji’s European distributor says each pair is hand-made and stamped with its own serial number. It also says Yamato scissors are made at the same Sakai plant, so compare the two by model, not by name.

What’s in the Fuji range?

Ask for the model by name. Fuji’s lines include the GGF, a long barber model, and the SF, a left-handed model.

Buying one elsewhere?

Check these before you pay:

  • the exact model, size and hand;
  • who sharpens it in Australia, and what that costs;
  • the seller’s returns, and whether a used pair can go back.
