The Ergo Apprentice thinner gives a learner a clear starting point for blend work: 30 teeth, a 6.0-inch blade and an offset handle. Use it to soften a line or adjust density in small passes. Comb out the section and check the shape before repeating. It is a thinner for finishing and moderate weight work, not the same tool as an open-tooth texturiser.
