Check Your New Salon Scissors

A short checklist for checking a listing, inspecting the scissors and keeping the order details.

Before checkout

Confirm the exact model and variant: size, hand, blade type and number of pieces. A product family can contain a single cutter, a thinner and a set. Read the selected option, not only the hero image.

If seller authorisation matters for a particular brand, check the maker’s current dealer information or ask the maker directly. Keep a copy of the listing and order confirmation.

When the box arrives

  1. Compare the model and size with your order.
  2. Inspect the blades, pivot and finish before using the scissors.
  3. Check supplied accessories against the live listing.
  4. Keep any serial or maker documentation that came with the pair.
  5. Photograph a problem and contact the seller promptly if something does not match.

A missing serial is not automatically a counterfeit: makers and models use different marking systems. Ask the maker if you need confirmation of a specific product.

Keep a useful record
